JFK

"Today, we need a nation of
Minutemen; citizens who are not only
prepared to take arms, but citizens
   who regard the preservation of
freedom as the basic purpose of their
daily life and who are willing to
   consciously work and sacrifice for
   that freedom."

   - John F. Kennedy

ABOUT

Description

The Militia Information Service is a not-for-profit educational website created by HRCA.

Mission

Promoting the democratization of the armed forces to prevent tyranny and genocide. The army should be comprised primarily of conscripted reservists as in Switzerland who are representative of the general population, not professional volunteers reliant on the military for their primary income, while all members of the unorganized militia should possess a service rifle so they have the practical means with which to defend democracy and minorities.

Philosophy

If we want to live in freedom we must protect the right of others to do so, in keeping with the principle of "equal liberty" that underpins modernity. Our freedom is anchored in accepting responsibility for others, as we can have no moral claim to liberty if we neglect the liberties of our fellow human beings. United we stand, divided we fall.

Dedication

This service is dedicated to the memory of John Fitzgerald Kennedy (1917-1963).
